Death Perception

Overview

Death Perception sells information: enemies outlined through walls, danger flagged before it rounds the corner. It debuted in Black Ops 4’s launch line-up and has been rebuilt every era since — Cold War’s Season Five version added minimap speed, rear-attack warnings, bonus salvage and armor-piercing damage through its Aetherium tiers, and Modern Warfare III taught it to highlight lootable chests.

Black Ops 6 gave it a genuine second debut: its first physical machine since Forsaken, standing in The Tomb’s catacombs, with an augment set that quietly changed why people buy it — Treasure Hunter pulls extra loot from containers and elite kills, Extra Change reveals bonus essence, and Critical Eye converts body shots into critical procs. The wallhack became the side benefit; the economy became the point.

Black Ops 7 carried it forward at launch with Sixth Sense watching your back and Hidden Gems marking the loot — the mode’s most literal case of a perk becoming a business decision.
