Perk-a-Cola
Melee Macchiato
Overview
Melee Macchiato replaces the polite gun-butt with a haymaker: officially, "a deadly punch that sends enemies flying." It shipped with Black Ops 6’s launch on Terminus and Liberty Falls and immediately became the backbone of melee builds and early-round economics — points from punches, ammo untouched.
Its augment set builds the brawler: Expresso speeds all melee, Vampiric Extraction heals on hit, Triple Shot catches multiple zombies per punch, and Strength Training stretches the one-hit-kill rounds. Black Ops 7 kept it at launch and let the punch grow up — damage now scales through round 30, and the Mocha Maul augment swaps the fist for your dedicated melee weapon entirely.
In practice the perk anchors a playstyle rather than filling a rounding-out slot. Melee builds lean on it to bank points and conserve ammunition through the early rounds, where a free knockdown is worth more than any wall-buy, and it pairs naturally with movement and shield play. It is one of the Dark Aether era’s own additions, standing alongside the returning classics rather than being carried forward from them.
