Takeo Masaki
A disciplined warrior seeking honor and truth, a founding member of the Ultimis and Primis crews.
Overview
Takeo Masaki is the Ultimis crew’s conscience, which the story makes him pay for twice. The Emperor’s own inspector at the Rising Sun facility, he was betrayed and handed to Group 935 as a test subject on the Emperor’s orders — a truth the experiments mercifully scrambled out of him for years. Tom Kane voiced both incarnations through Black Ops 4; the honor-bound Primis samurai of 1917 is the man the betrayal never reached.
His war
Zetsubou No Shima gives him the mode’s most solemn scene: in that fracture, Ultimis Takeo has been transformed into a Thrasher; Primis cures him long enough for the older man to learn the Emperor’s betrayal, tell his younger self everything — and choose seppuku, with Primis Takeo standing as his second. The soul goes to the Summoning Key by way of the most honorable death the series ever staged.
The campfire
He ends at Tag der Toten’s campfire with the others, describing an afterlife of cherry blossoms over a poisoned cup. Radio logs codenamed him test subject N3WB; the story he finishes as anything but.
