Attack of the Radioactive Thing

Attack of the Radioactive Thing is Wyler’s 1950s creature feature, shot in black and white at Sonova Beach, California — a town whose name the cast pronounces very deliberately — where nuclear testing has left glowing blobs in the streets and something enormous in the bay. The trapped celebrity is Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, hosting the picture from the KZMB TV studio and stealing announcer duties from Wyler himself.

Power

The power switch is missing its handle — a severed zombie hand on the beach holds it. Reunite the two at the Power Station and the town lights up, from the diner to the drive-in.

Pack-a-Punch, by witchcraft

Elvira runs the upgrade economy: crack her spell book out of the ice-cream parlour safe, fill a vial with cleaver kills, and she leaves her studio to conjure the Projection Room portal — thirty seconds a visit, relocating under a lightning storm thereafter. She also fights beside you once summoned, the map’s answer to Spaceland’s Hasselhoff.

Wonder weapon: the M.A.D.

The Modular Atomic Disintegrator is a Magic-Wheel-only ray gun that improves by scavenging: a Crank for a charged shot that erases hordes, a Grip for full-auto, and a Plunger that refills the tank from the Crogs’ radioactive eggs. The map’s chemistry set — vodka and pennies do, in fact, make acetaldehyde — belongs to the quest, not the arsenal.

The Crogs

Mutated frog-things called Crogs spawn on set rounds with a Brute variant behind them, and offshore looms Crog-Zilla — the Radioactive Thing itself, a kaiju that spends normal play wrecking a cargo ship and cannot be scratched outside the quest.

The main quest: “Soul-Less”

The quest builds a nuke the 1950s way: reanimate a stitched-together corpse for a key, brew the right explosive compound from household shopping, crack the safe for launch codes, and escort the bomb-cart down the beach until Crog-Zilla swallows it. Death-ray cannons, a laser maze and a trip inside the monster later, the fourth Soul Key piece comes out of the wreckage. Soloable — and finishing it unlocks Elvira as a playable character.

Story

The post-quest cutscene loads the actors onto a spaceship, pointing the anthology at its finale: the fifth film, the Cryptids, and the demon holding Wyler’s contract.
