The Trident Retreat, and a final fight against a fully-turned Oz.

Open route diagramDescent ends Exo Zombies underwater: the Trident Retreat, Atlas’s survival city beneath the Pacific, already slaughtered by the thing that used to be Oz when Lennox, Lilith, Decker and Kahn arrive hunting him in the small hours after the carrier sank. Transit tubes and teleport grenades cross the flooded gaps, an XS1 Goliath suit can be airdropped and worn, and the Oz Arena opens only when he wants it to.
The facility’s last innovation is fusion: paired zombie types merged into single horrors — Blinker-Spikers, Blinker-Exploders, Meatbag-EMZs — stacking two kits onto one body. Above them all is Oz himself, fought in his arena across an escalating chain of battles, and briefly, strangely, playable in one segment of his own memory.
Oz’s challenges lead into a digital recreation of his memories and the story’s last reveal: the other three are immune, their blood a cure, and Oz himself beyond curing. The mutated final fight ends Exo Zombies outright — all four survivors walk away into pointedly ordinary futures, Lilith burning Oz’s corpse — until the stinger pans across pod after pod of Oz clones beneath the facility. Raven Software never got the sequel; the clones are still down there.
