Terra Maledicta

Terra Maledicta — "cursed earth" — moves the objective format to an oasis in Egypt’s Eastern Desert, where Die Wahrheit has dug up the Scepter of Kortifex, with portal arenas reaching into the Corrupted Lands of the Dark Aether itself and a Berlin Hall of Truth. Vercanna the Last, whose clan Kortifex exterminated, joins as the fifth entity ally with her Healing Aura.

Wonder weapon: the Decimator Shield

The mode’s one original wonder weapon is a person: the Decimator, a Night Legions commander Kortifex cursed into his own shield after the Netherwars. Indestructible, one-hit-kill in melee, and armed with a blast that kills through walls, it is freed through a multi-step in-map quest — and its liberation doubles as the map’s unnamed Story Event, breaking the seal on a lost Tome of Rituals page that explains how to sever an entity from its host.

Story

The severing lore is the arc’s hinge: it names the Relic Mirror, the tool that Shi No Numa’s rebuild and The Archon’s finale both turn on. Dig spots and the shovel return from Origins’ toolbox, and Zaballa the Deceiver begins stalking the objectives.
