Three chapters — a ruined port, a pitching cargo boat, an Antarctic dig.

Spread across the gauntlet’s three chapters, "I Have the Power" recovers a sword piece per leg of the journey: the Hilt through a windmill lightning ritual in Spain, the Pommel behind a literal red herring aboard the Mount Olympus, and the forge itself at Deception Island, where runic wall codes call all three pieces down by airdrop and the Sword of Barbarossa is finally made whole at the altar. Each chapter’s escape carries its own trophy besides.
The Tortured Path is WWII Zombies’ gauntlet: the only non-round-based map of its game, structured as three escape chapters smuggling the pieces of Barbarossa’s sword out of Europe for the Bureau of Archaic Technologies. Into the Storm runs a caravan through northern Spain under zeppelin-held skies; Across the Depths crosses the Atlantic aboard the U.S.S. Mount Olympus; Beneath the Ice lands at Deception Island off Antarctica.
Waves replace rounds, with randomized objectives at waves three, six and nine — fail one and the run ends — and a boss at wave ten: a Raketenbrenner, a second Stadtjäger, and the Guardian, chapter by chapter. Completing objectives calls Allied airdrops carrying ammo, armor, the Ripsaw and an upgraded Tesla Gun.
The Mystery Box and lockers are gone; six Waffenboxes each dispense one weapon class, unlocking in stages as the waves climb, with the Jack-in-the-Box hiding in the pool. The Ubersprengen must be earned per run by filling three Geistkraft coils.
Each chapter hides a ritual for one piece of the sword — the hilt by windmill lightning, the pommel behind a literal red herring, and the forge itself in the Antarctic chapter, where all three pieces come down by airdrop and the Sword of Barbarossa is finally assembled. A hardcore layer, the Darkened Path, waits past rank fifty for players who find escaping merely once insufficient.
