Overview

The Panzersoldat is Group 935’s armored-suit program given a corpse for a pilot: a zombie sealed into a powered exo-frame, announced by a siren and delivered by rocket pack from somewhere off the map. It debuted on Origins — the first one arrives on round 8, on schedule, every game — and returned in Black Ops III on Der Eisendrache and Revelations with an upgraded kit.

The kit

Up close it burns you with a flamethrower and hits like a truck — two melee swings down a Jugger-Nog player. At range, the Origins model fires a grappling claw that reels a victim helplessly in; the escape is shooting the small red light on the launcher arm, or a teammate forcing release with head damage. Der Eisendrache trades the claw for an electric arm cannon that stuns, and teaches the suit to run and burn at the same time.

Fighting them

Head damage is the answer, and the power core on the suit’s back is the shortcut — destroy it and both claw and cannon die with it. Distractions are wasted: it ignores Monkey Bombs and G-Strikes entirely. On Origins the first kill matters beyond survival, because that Panzer always drops a Staff of Fire part — the only source of the piece. Richtofen’s own quotes confirm who built the suit; the excavation supplied its pilot.

Behavior

Arrives by rocket pack; fires a grappling claw (Origins) or electric cannon (Der Eisendrache) to disable players, with a flamethrower up close.
