Astra Malorum has an officially acknowledged main quest, which went live on 2025-12-04. Activision refers to it only as "the Main Quest" — no proper name has been published, and no first-party walkthrough exists, so the steps are not documented here.
Astra Malorum — "The Stars of Evil" — takes the hunt for the second Shadowsmith to a mysterious early-twentieth-century observatory drifting in the rings of Saturn. Its interiors carry named set-pieces like the Luminarium and Stargazor’s Courtyard, defended by Essence-fee traps with names to match: the Stellar Dissector and the Apogee Annihilator.
The LGM-1 — officially the "Little Green Menace" — launches autonomous saucer projectiles that strafe the horde with lasers. The elite guarding the halls is O.S.C.A.R., the Observation System and Carnifex Adjudicator Robot, a hovering sentinel fielding a drone shield, a Tesla field and an attack-drone hologram.
The main quest went live with the map, its rewards a classified operator skin, a calling card and 10,000 XP; Cursed mode shipped day one with Directed following mid-season. The map’s boss arena — an ancient temple beneath the sands of Mars — later became a survival map in its own right.
