Berlin’s quest boards the zeppelin at last: radio codes call the Red Army’s attention, four energy tethers overloaded with the Wunderbuss bring down a boarding pod, and the fight upstairs ends with Straub killed by his own reanimated specimens. Then the Stadtjäger — the multi-headed Beast of Berlin — across three phases of earned vulnerability windows, until the machine turns its own Geistbolt on itself. Soloable, barely; take a squad.
The Shadowed Throne drops the Raven crew from Straub’s hijacked zeppelin into Berlin mid-collapse, April 1945 — the Reichstag burning on the horizon while Straub’s undead army purges the city block by block. It is the arc’s urban chapter: a main street, a cabaret with a Hangman word-game on its sign, a three-storey museum, and a church guarding the courtyard the whole map is named for.
The Ubersprengen arrives by elevator: work the Wunderbuss and the Main Street radio, and the machine rides down into the Destroyed Building’s empty shaft. The six Blitz machines and Geistschild stations carry over unchanged.
The Wunderbuss is Heinz Richter’s stolen prototype, finished in a smuggler’s basement workshop: a blunderbuss rebuilt around a Geistkraft battery, firing an energy beam — with an aimed Geistbolt that sticks to a zombie and siphons its life back into your ammo. The Tesla Gun and the Ripsaw both return as free Hangman prizes, and three named melee weapons — Nachtmahr, Perchta, Holda — unlock Barbarossa’s Refuge.
The Gekocht debuts — a burning red sprinter created when the zeppelin’s beam strikes an ordinary corpse, exploding at close quarters — alongside the returning Wüstlings, Bombers and Pests. Above it all waits the Stadtjäger, the "Beast of Berlin": a multi-headed armored construct with a saw arm and a Geistkraft cannon.
Radio codes summon the Red Army’s attention and Straub’s zeppelin; four energy tethers overloaded with the Wunderbuss bring a boarding pod; and the fight upstairs ends with Straub killed by his own reanimated specimens before the Stadtjäger battle — three phases, each window of vulnerability earned, until the machine turns its Geistbolt on itself. Soloable, with a squad strongly advised.
The raven-statue puzzle in Barbarossa’s Refuge surrenders the Blade — the final piece. Hilt, pommel and blade in Allied hands, Straub dead over his own laboratory: all that remains is smuggling the sword out of Europe, and The Tortured Path is named for exactly that journey.
