Main Quest

Totenreich main quest

Totenreich has an officially acknowledged main quest, which went live on 2026-04-30. Activision refers to it only as "the Main Quest" — no proper name has been published, and no first-party walkthrough exists, so the steps are not documented here.

The full write-up

Totenreich lands the crew at Eidskallen, a Norse fishing village inhabited since the late Bronze Age — burial mounds, a feasting hall, a stave church and a lighthouse — with a Group 935 research facility grafted on for "nefarious experiments in the wake of giants." A towering Shadowsmith is bound to the island, and the Twins deliver the crew to its landing to do something about it.

Wonder weapon

The Jotunn Star is a melee lantern-and-chain that steals souls as Flame Charge, spending them on Flame Tendril whips and Flame Strike fireballs. The Flammenfalle trap creates a heat zone against the map’s other signature: extreme-cold special rounds that field Frost Zombies.

Special enemies

The Necropincer stalks the village — an undead Viking warrior spirit, "known to some as a Draugr," fighting with a trident and a blocking, slamming crab claw. The main quest pays the "Ambition" Richtofen skin, a calling card and 10,000 XP; Directed mode and the Eidskallen Lighthouse survival cut followed in later seasons.
