Electric Cherry
Reloading, especially on an empty magazine, emits an electric burst that damages and staggers nearby zombies — useful to escape being cornered.
First served: Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Overview
Electric Cherry turns the mode’s most dangerous moment into a weapon: every reload discharges a stunning electric burst around you, and the emptier the magazine, the bigger the blast — a full-mag dump earns the maximum shockwave. It debuted on Mob of the Dead as the prison’s only new machine, and it fires one last full burst when you go down, a parting gift on the way to the floor.
Its physics reward the weapons that need it most: single-shot and small-magazine guns — the Blundergat family above all — trigger maximum-radius blasts on every reload. A persistent community myth says repeated reloads stack the effect; both wikis flatly correct it. What is true is subtler: in Black Ops II, cancelling a reload forfeits the shock until you complete a full cycle.
It never got another machine after the Black Ops III era — Der Wunderfizz carried it through Origins and the DLC maps — but the idea proved immortal: Cold War rebuilt it as Elemental Pop’s top Aetherium tier, and Black Ops 6 and 7 named the augment after it outright, effect intact down to the emptier-magazine rule.
