Elemental Pop machine render

Elemental Pop

First served: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Overview

Elemental Pop gives every bullet a chance to trigger a random Ammo Mod effect — a stray shot might freeze, shock, burn or rot the zombie it hits, no attachment required. It arrived with Black Ops Cold War’s launch roster and belongs entirely to the modern era: it only makes sense in a game where Ammo Mods exist for it to borrow from.

The appeal is passive chaos. It costs no attention, synergises with every weapon, and on crowded rounds the procs come often enough to matter — a free Dead Wire stun in the middle of a train has saved plenty of runs. Its upgrade tiers raise the proc odds and sharpen the borrowed effects.

It has kept a place in every roster since: a machine in Die Maschine’s launch set and Terminus’s Sea Tower, and on Liberty Falls one of the two perks with no fixed machine at all — there, only Der Wunderfizz atop the bank pours it.
