Main Quest · IX

Venerated Warrior

IX’s main quest — "Venerated Warrior", defeat the most venerated opponent — runs the Chaos crew through a trial per tower god: Danu’s blighted trees, Ra’s burning bulls, Zeus’s storm poles and Odin’s flooded symbols, stitched together with the arena’s strangest shopping list (bone meal, charcoal, and dung thrown by a crowd you have deliberately enraged). The arena answers with its champions: waves of tigers and gladiators, then the war elephants Fury and Wrath, armor shot away piece by piece. Soloable, on Normal or above.

Spoiler warning

This walkthrough reveals the map's finale. Continue only if you want to know how it ends.

Preparation

Before you start

Prerequisites

  • Pack-a-Punch open — ring all four altar gongs and set the champions’ heads on their pikes
  • The Death of Orion (three charged shots feed the grinder)
  • The Brazen Bull shield, for Ra’s fire

Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Blood must flow

Ring the gong in each tower’s altar room, defeat the summoned champions, and place their four heads before the Pack-a-Punch altar.

  2. 02

    The fertilizer

Grind a hidden skull to bone meal with three charged Death of Orion shots, burn wood to charcoal in Odin’s cauldron, and anger the crowd until it throws the last ingredient.

  3. 03

    Danu and Ra

Feed the fertilizer to Danu’s trees and purge the shadow-tower pods; ignite Ra’s four bull symbols with the Brazen Bull and answer the obelisk’s kill-order challenge twice.

  4. 04

    Zeus and Odin

Raise the arena’s four poles and charge them with electrified kills, then shoot Odin’s nine flooded blue symbols and survive the grate lockdown for the key.

  5. 05

    The arena

Enter the red portal: waves of zombie tigers and gladiators open the show before the headliners arrive.

  6. 06

    Fury and Wrath

Two armored war elephants, one method: shoot away the side armor, then the face. The ending plays the crowd one last trick — the High Priest of Chaos does not honor clemency.
