Main Quest · The Beast from Beyond

The End?

The anthology’s finale earns its question mark: four floppy disks inserted in a hidden order send the robot N31L rogue, a movie poster hides his re-hack button, and his happy-face head — carried by Entangler to the projector computer — opens the Cryptid gauntlet: Rhino containers, portal waves, and two fire-bleeding Mammoths whose death yields the fifth Soul Key piece. The ending feeds Wyler to his own screen and locks the doors anyway; the true finale, with Director’s Cut and every talisman, is a multi-phase battle against Mephistopheles himself. Soloable.

Spoiler warning

This walkthrough reveals the map's finale. Continue only if you want to know how it ends.

Preparation

Before you start

Prerequisites

  • Power on (N31L’s head installed at Staging)
  • The Entangler, for the disk and head steps
  • The Venom-X recommended for the gauntlet

Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Four disks

Collect the floppy disks — one from the first Phantom, one from the snow, two by Entangler tricks — and insert them in the order the symbol papers dictate.

  2. 02

    N31L goes rogue

Pull the hidden button through the movie poster and solve the dial puzzle by the dead Cryptid to re-hack him.

  3. 03

    Carry the head

Entangle N31L’s happy-face head to the Projector Room computer.

Warning: The teleport that follows is the point of no return.

  4. 04

    The gauntlet

Survive four containers of Rhinos and escalating portal waves of Scouts and Phantoms, sentry guns and the counting terminal your only friends.

  5. 05

    The Mammoths

Kill the two blue-fire Mammoths; Poindexter takes the final Soul Key piece from the second corpse.

  6. 06

    The theater

Feed Wyler into the Spaceland screen and learn what the locked doors already knew — then, if you carry every talisman in Director’s Cut, face the demon who owns the contract.

Following along in-game? Switch to Guided Mode for one step at a time on a screen you can read at arm's length.
