The Tomb — Main Quest

The Tomb’s quest — Treyarch published no title; the in-fiction trials are the Trials of the Damned — arms the crew with Ull’s Arrow and its Sekhmet’s Vigor attachment, then runs four statue trials between the Dark Aether Nexus and the surface dig: a Vermin swarm, Parasite orb-banking, a Doppelghast spike circle and an elite Amalgam, each charge of Dark Aether energy carried home nearly untouched. The boss is the Sentinel Artifact itself, fought through nine phases of beams, decoys and possessed carriers — and immune to everything but ordinary bullets. Soloable.

Prerequisites

  • • The Nexus open (the Obscurus Altilium placed on the Subterranean Temple altar)
  • • The Staff of Ice upgraded to Ull’s Arrow with Sekhmet’s Vigor

Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Build Ull’s Arrow

    Take Archibald’s monocle from a Shock Mimic, shoot the Taurus and Orion constellations through their lockdowns, assemble the staff at the Nexus altar and upgrade it.

  2. 02

    Mark the statues

    Shoot each of the four Nexus statues — Vermin, Parasite, Doppelghast, Amalgam — with Sekhmet’s Vigor.

  3. 03

    The four trials

    Complete each enemy’s surface lockdown — the Dig Site swarm, the Shrine’s orb-banking, the Ossuary’s spike circle, the Deep Excavation’s elite Amalgam.

  4. 04

    Carry the charge

    Bring each trial’s Dark Aether energy back to its Nexus statue without being hit more than twice.

  5. 05

    The Artifact

    Fight the Sentinel Artifact through nine phases — beams, splitting decoys, possessed carriers and a bell-signalled wipe — with bullet weapons; it ignores the Ray Gun and the staff.

  6. 06

    Exfil

    Weaver takes the artifact and Raptor One lifts the crew out — next stop, the mansion above Liberty Falls.
