Overview
Der Eisendrache’s bows are the map’s whole architecture in weapon form. The base bow, Wrath of the Ancients, hangs in a knight’s chamber above the Undercroft and is free to anyone who feeds the castle’s three dragon heads eight corpses each — sixty explosive arrows, chargeable shots, and no self-damage. It is merely the blank; the map’s real work is choosing which of four ancient elements to forge into it.
The four upgrades
Each upgrade quest reforges a broken arrow through element-specific trials and a soul shrine by the pyramid: the Storm Bow’s charged shot drops a zombie-devouring thunderstorm; the Fire Bow erupts volcanic mounds under the horde; the Void Bow opens skull-mouthed portals that eat whatever walks in; and the Wolf Bow summons spectral wolves after a quest that retells the Wolf King’s story painting by painting. A player binds to one path at a time, and the achievement for collecting all four is earned in fluent German.
Their place in the map
The bows never left their castle — Der Eisendrache is their only home — and the main quest, My Brother’s Keeper, requires one upgraded bow per player, all four flying in a full lobby. Their Apothicon names (Kreema’ahm la Ahmahm and kin) mark them as older than the castle that hides them.
