Call of Duty: Black Ops III
Widely regarded as a high point for the mode, Black Ops III combined the Primis crew, gum-based GobbleGums, and Zombies Chronicles remasters with the Aether saga finale, Revelations.

Black Ops III opened on Shadows of Evil — the Chaos-noir Morg City map with Beast mode and the Apothicon Sword — then handed the story to Primis for the run most players rank as the mode’s peak: Der Eisendrache’s bows, Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod Krovi’s dragons, and the Revelations finale that closes the original Aether saga. GobbleGums added a consumable perk layer, and every map carried a full multi-stage main quest.
In 2017 Zombies Chronicles added remasters of eight classics from World at War through Black Ops II, making Black Ops III the single largest playable library of the mode’s history — which, together with its custom-map community on PC, is why it remains the default recommendation for anyone working back through the catalogue.
