Main Quest

Main Quest

Electromagnetic Awakening Party

Named for Moon’s Cryogenic Slumber Party, Alpha Omega’s quest is an argument with a computer: Rushmore, Broken Arrow’s terminal-bound AI, tests the twin crews against the facility’s five Core Values before opening the American Pyramid Device. Behind the pyramid door waits the Avogadro — revealed as Cornelius Pernell, the OSS handler transformed in a botched 1968 experiment — captured under a live nuke and shipped to Hanford, Washington, where TranZit’s players met him years earlier without knowing his name. The achievement text says it plainly: begin Nikolai’s Grand Scheme. Soloable.

The full write-up

Alpha Omega breaks the mode’s oldest rule: it fields two crews at once. Primis and Ultimis — eight canonical characters, any four in a lobby so long as no one doubles up — converge on Camp Edward, the Broken Arrow facility whose surface disguise is a certain Nevada cul-de-sac. The map is roughly four times Nuketown Zombies’ size, splitting between the model town above and the sprawling bunker below, where the American Pyramid Device answers Griffin Station’s MPD.

Power: the gas leak

The map’s opening project is not a switch but a containment: a Nova 6 gas leak poisoning the bunker, sealed by defending the generators and repairing the four house vents topside. Doing so brings the facility — and Rushmore, dormant since 1968 — back online.

Pack-a-Punch

The machine stands in the Beds section of the Broken Arrow bunker, locked behind that same containment: seal the leak and Pack-a-Punch opens with the rest of the lower facility.

Four flavours of Mark II

The Ray Gun Mark II headlines with four buildable elemental variants — the chaining electric V, the full-auto X that Pack-a-Punches into dual-wield, the explosive Y and the scatter-shot Z — each assembled from a frame, an assembly kit and an elemental canister earned through its own mini-quest, then finished over a soul circle. Building all four in one match is its own achievement.

Rushmore

The facility’s soul is Rushmore, Broken Arrow’s terminal-bound AI overseer (voiced by John de Lancie), dormant since 1968 and reachable through four-digit punch codes: music, discounts, power-ups, and the authorization chain the whole quest hangs on. A rebuilt Sergeant A.D.A.M. mannequin can even fight alongside you.

Special enemies

Broken Arrow’s Nova 6 program supplies the bestiary: Nova Bombers that empower nearby zombies, lightning-throwing Jolting Jacks, electrified Lightning Hounds, and hostile A.D.A.M. units — with the Avogadro himself waiting in the pyramid as announcer and final boss.

The main quest: “Electromagnetic Awakening Party”

Named in tribute to Moon’s Cryogenic Slumber Party, the quest works through Rushmore’s five Core Values — an escort, a negotiation with a voice-cameo Marlton, a server install, repairs, and the rebuilding of a broken A.D.A.M. that frees Peter McCain’s soul at last. The APD then opens, and the Avogadro is revealed as Cornelius Pernell, the OSS handler transformed in a botched 1968 experiment. Under a live nuke, the crew charges backup canisters, forces him back into the pyramid, and ships him to Hanford, Washington — where TranZit players met him years ago without knowing it. Soloable.

Story

The prize is the blue Elemental Shard, and the price is everything else: Maxis radios from Agartha just long enough to teleport Samantha and Eddie to safety before Doctor Monty, in his true form, devours him. Samantha materialises at Camp Edward and levels the facility with a scream — then vows to fight the Great War and destroy Agartha, the Aether, everything. Tag der Toten is next, and last.
