Double Tap 2.0: increases fire rate and fires two bullets per shot for higher damage output.
Perk-a-Cola

Double Tap Root Beer
Increases weapon fire rate. The later "Double Tap 2.0" version also fires an additional bullet per trigger pull, effectively increasing damage.
First served: Call of Duty: World at War
Overview
Double Tap Root Beer raises your rate of fire — more lead per second for 2,000 points. In its original World at War form that was the entire trade, and a debated one: faster fire also means faster reloads needed and faster ammo drain, so the classic version was a perk for players who already had ammo economy under control.
Black Ops II changed the argument with Double Tap II, which makes each shot fire an extra projectile — effectively doubling bullet damage rather than just cadence. From that version on it stopped being a preference and became a damage perk that keeps wall weapons viable rounds longer, and its slot in the buy order moved up accordingly.
Its availability tracks the eras: a fixture of the World at War and Black Ops line-ups — though notably absent from Ascension’s original release — reborn as Double Tap II from Buried’s era onward, and returning across the modern titles’ machines and Wunderfizz pools.
