Trial by Ordeal

Rhodes Manor’s trial — the achievement asks the party to defeat the evil within — splits into three quest lines that can be run in any order: the Telescope’s silver-and-zodiac astronomy, the Knight’s blue-flame fireplaces and Werewolf sacrifice, and the Effigy’s graveside spirit walk. Each ends in a lockdown and a stone slab; all three open the Ruins beneath the Forest, where the Shadow Werewolf falls only under the statue light-traps, across three phases. Soloable, for anyone who can hold a manor alone.

  • • Pack-a-Punch open (three crystals, three Tuning Forks, the Forest)
  • • Alistair’s Annihilator for the Knight line
  • • Silver bullets for the Werewolf steps

Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    The Telescope

    Shoot the rod with a silver bullet, align the Atlas statue’s rings, count the zodiac scratch-marks, and feed the answer to the Greenhouse telescope for the moon beam.

  2. 02

    The Knight

    Light the twelve fireplaces in their three sets with the Annihilator’s blue flame, escort three crystals to the Forest, and kill a Werewolf inside the knights’ triangle.

  3. 03

    The Effigy

    Gather birch branches, cross into spirit form at the 1912 gravestone, burn the effigy and walk the ghost home.

  4. 04

    Three slabs

    Survive each line’s closing lockdown and set the three stone slabs in the Forest door — the Ruins open below.

  5. 05

    The Shadow Werewolf

    Trap it under the statue light-beams to break its guard in phases one and three; survive the horde between them.

  6. 06

    The morning after

    The ending belongs to the story: Dark Godfrey, the fire, and Scarlett arriving too late for everyone but the audience.
