Tower of Babble

TranZit’s main quest is a choice, not a checklist: the pylon above Green Run can be turned to either Ludvig Maxis or Edward Richtofen, and the two questlines are mutually exclusive and directly opposed. Maxis’s side runs on Turbines and killing the Avogadro; Richtofen’s side runs on the Jet Gun and EMP grenades. Either way the achievement is "Tower of Babble", and the side you empower carries forward through Die Rise and Buried as the Victis crew’s standing choice.

Preparation

Before you start

Prerequisites

  • • Power on (the switch itself must be built in the Power Station)
  • • Maxis side: Turbines and at least two players
  • • Richtofen side: the Jet Gun built and EMP grenades from the Box

Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Pick a side

    Decide whether the crew serves Maxis or Richtofen — each voice sets its own tasks at the pylon, and completing one locks out the other for that game.

  2. 02

    Maxis: cut the power

    With the power on, turn it back off when Maxis asks, then carry Turbines out to the pylon.

    Warning: The Maxis side cannot be completed alone — it needs at least two players.

  3. 03

    Maxis: put down the Avogadro

    Lure the electric Avogadro and destroy it as Maxis directs.

    Tip: The Avogadro only takes damage from melee — Galvaknuckles — or EMP grenades.

  4. 04

    Maxis: feed the pylon

    Place running Turbines at the pylon and the lampposts at the same time until the pylon drinks the energy.

  5. 05

    Richtofen: charge the pylon

    Build the Jet Gun, then feed the pylon with it and with kills beneath it until Richtofen is satisfied.

  6. 06

    Richtofen: EMP the lampposts

    Throw EMP grenades at the four green-lit lampposts to complete his ritual — solo players use the timed solo variant of this step.

Can Tower of Babble be done solo?

Only on Richtofen’s side, which has a solo variant of the lamppost step. Maxis’s side needs at least two players.
