Krasny Soldat

The Krasny Soldat — "Red Soldier" — is the Dark Aether saga’s heavy: an Omega Group soldier sealed into powered mining armor of Dimitri Kuhlklay’s design and lost to the corruption it was built to survive. It arrived with Outbreak and stalks Mauer der Toten’s streets and the Forsaken boss fight, walking out of ordinary spawns rather than announcing itself from the sky.

Its kit reads like a Panzersoldat redesigned by a different century: a flamethrower arm for close work, an arm cannon that lobs napalm projectiles at range, and a destructible jetpack it uses to lunge across open ground. The wikis themselves cross-reference the two as relatives — spiritual successor, not the same machine, with different masters and a different war.

Fighting them

Break the jetpack to take away the lunge, then work the armor off and finish through the head. The flames punish standing ground; the napalm punishes straight-line retreat. Fight it the way you fight everything in its family — sideways.
